The most amusing example of this is all the atheists in the media becoming pro-Pope because the only thing that matters is Trump.

I met a guy in front of a PA. Lottery machine. He told me a story, asking me if I remember the covid relief cash that DJT sent out in 2020. I told him I remembered that, then he went into a long drawn out tale of how, because of THAT MONEY ONLY, he became a degenerate gambler and lost everything he owned including his car and house and blamed every bit of it on DJT and the FIRST covid check. Not kidding, can't make this up. TDS is real, these people are sick, miserable and dangerous

Trump is the metric because he’s made himself the metric, directing the actions and attentions in the directions he wants. Everything makes sense if you remember what Scott Adams and others have said about Trump since 2015. He’s a master persuader, a positive thinker of the Norman Vincent Peale/New Thought school, but with Sun Tzu and Roy Cohn ruthlessness. He runs large, complex, multi-year projects like skyscrapers and reality TV shows. He likes audacious showmanship. So, of course he's running this term in the same way, with a multi-year plan he calls MAGA and Golden Age. He’s not going to show us the actual GANTT chart, of course, but its outlines are visible: complex hardcore deal-making, major pro-American political resets here and abroad.

Tactically that means strong, clear, “divisive” positions that put him on the popular and conservative side: America First, deport illegals, law and order, two sexes, government efficiency, fraud is bad, Iran is a threat. Those polarizing lines grab headlines, energize supporters, and troll and wrong-foot his enemies, while he says and does things to distract and misdirect, to appear impulsive, unplanned, unaware.

I’m not saying the current MAGA woes are artificial. There are real splits and drops in support, but they seem temporary, and part of the story he’s telling, a second act in which the hero is in peril but villains are over-confident and miscalculate. Trump’s team is highly motivated to win, and in an excellent position to do so for a dozen reasons. The sweetest, most crowd-pleasing victories are surprising and against the odds. I’m betting on “shocking” events in the coming months that result in GOP wins in November and in 2028.

AMEN. An outstanding analysis.

Excellent post, Batya! 👍👍 It is truly hard to understand how the Democratic Party has become a party of hate, intolerance and violence, bereft of any ideas for improving the lives of Americans. Indeed their Trump hatred and open desire for his failure is no different than wishing harm on the citizens of the US. Do they think closing the border was bad for America and it should be reopened as it was under the Mr Magoo administration? Do they think we should readmit the criminals that were deported and have the crime rates go back up to where they were? Do they have any suggestions whatsoever that benefit our country and our citizens? Nah, they’re busy hating 🤬 Trump and his supporters. They’ve become repulsive 🤮. It’s no longer cool to be a Democrat. There’s an enormous amount of mental illness in that Party.

Just shows how absolutely bat$&@/ this all is. I like Trump a lot and I don’t think of him half as much as these wackos.

Thank you Batya. I have been knowing about the importance of the strait of Hormuz long before the war started (and mainstream media began to even mention it, not even after the start) because I was well informed by Carlis Ruckauf who became quite a sensation with all of this, opening his own YouTube channel. The hatred toward Trump is ludicrous by now and, besides that, these people have nothing at all to offer but a display of insanity that is concerning because we are dealing with politicians that appear with a mental health illness to the point that I don’t understand that others can take them seriously. We need serious politicians and serious media… with what we have now things feel irrelevant, unentertaining, and annoying that invites us to turn off the TV.

Batya, spot on. So many people seem allergic or unable to analyze facts and think for themselves. TDS is evidence of advanced brain rot.

I've never voted for Trump. In fact, I've voted for two Democrats and a Libertarian for POTUS in the last three elections... Webb, Gabbard, and Oliver, in that order. But I am eternally grateful for Trump and that we did not end up with Hillary or Kamala. Biden was a useful reminder of how truly awful the DNC is and how bad things could be.

Evidently, when Trump met with the Iranians in February, they told him that they were three weeks away from having a nuclear weapon. That's a mighty big trigger and Trump is doing the right thing. If Kamala were there instead of Trump, Iran would have been a nuclear power a month ago. Yes, the cost of fuel and some groceries and other items are almost as high as when Biden was POTUS, but I can live with that because I think this will all be over in a couple of months and that the terrorist regime in Iran is done and over with. I will celebrate when Iranians are a free people and their neighbors are safe from that horrid regime.

And NYT columnist Tom Friedman is Jewish, so go figure. Isn’t the safety of the state of Israel a concern to him? Apparently not. Have my own theory on this FWIW; was engaged to a Jewish girl a number of years back + have Jewish friends in L.A. whom I spent a lot of time with. There’s a segment I refer to as JINOS - Jews In Name Only; they show up to Synagogue once a year during the High Holy Days & that’s it - the rest of the year their religion is leftist politics.

Here’s a fundamental fact: if Iran gets a nuke they’re on record stating their will drop it into Israel. Reportedly they have about 1,000lbs of enriched uranium; that can make a lot of dirty bombs. Get one inside a shipping container & into downtown Tel Aviv, into Long Beach, CA or NYC…

Remember to the Iranians we’re “Tne Great Satan” & Israel is “The Little Satan”. If they get nukes they will use them.

TDS has been suggested by more than one clinical psychologist as a true mental health condition that should be categorized and added to the DSM. When you look at what these people and many others have said, you can’t deny that there’s something wrong with them. It’s one thing to be crazy but when your craziness makes you vote, talk and act against your country it’s dangerous and you’re mentally ill.

I have gotten so accustomed to their hyperbolic hate of all things Trump that I ignore almost all of the criticism. Some of it may even be valid, and points I would have researched and considered prior to the stage 4 TDS. Now, like hearing the little boy who cried wolf, I ignore it. Do they not realize that EVERYTHING cannot be awful just because Trump advocates for it?

So much truthful insight. Thanks for a great read. What’s that Willie Nelson song , “You are always on my mind”. Never realized it was a Democrat singing about trump.

The Dems actually are saying the quiet part out loud. They would prefer Iran win if it means Trump loses. Unbelievable.
