Obama, and later Biden, largely succeeded in 'fundamentally transforming' the republic into a nation that no one would defend. This was exemplified in the crashing enlistment rates and performance standards of our armed forces, as well as the racial/social upheaval he promoted in our neighborhoods and schools. This is also evident in the startling polling indicating that 40% of liberals feel that violence is justified in the pursuit of political goals. A communist and a bigot may have assassinated JFK and MLK, but it took Obama's Democratic Party to bury them under 100 feet of partisan abstraction.

Gene Frenkle's avatar

Obamacare is very popular in Trump’s best states except his voters believe it is Byrdcare. 😉

Jeff Keener's avatar

Obamacare is only popular with the ones that get the subsidy.

Gene Frenkle's avatar

You are thinking of Kushnercare which is what Kushner created in 2017. Obamacare is the Medicaid expansion and it is very popular in Louisiana and Kentucky and West Virginia. The Cheney Republican states like Florida and Texas don’t have the Medicaid expansion.

Elizabeth Rome's avatar

Exactly --ObamaCareis only affordable if the recipient doesn't have to pay for it

Tate Brown's avatar

I don’t really understand your point. The country is destroyed??

Jeff Keener's avatar

I did not write that.

Dan Daugherty's avatar

I agree that he didn't understand your point. LOL. Too bad substack doesn't have a block feature for trolls and hecklers. This guy would be near the top of the block list.

JBell's avatar

You can click on his name ..... click the 3 dots and block him (or just mute him).

Tate Brown's avatar

You did, in fact, write that. You said those two destroyed the country. Don’t be cute

Jeff Keener's avatar

That would be horseshit, neighbor. I wrote that "Obama, and later Biden, largely succeeded in 'fundamentally transforming' the republic into a nation that no one would defend." I then went on to give some evidence for this. I could have included the crashing recruitment of LEOs under their watch, too. Nowhere, here or anywhere, have I ever claimed Obama or Biden "destroyed" the country. They did a lot of damage, but America is still the greatest country that ever existed and fortunately is more resilient than too many give us credit for. As Warren Buffet said, "never short America."

“You can’t have a situation where whoever is in charge of the government starts using that to go after their political enemies or reward their friends.”

That’s rich considering what - not only Eric With-Holder - did during Barak His Own Self’s tenure but what Merrick Garland pulled during the “Biden” admin. If it weren’t for double standards they’d have none whatsoever.

Tate Brown's avatar

Sure, the holder meeting was bad. They met for 30 minutes, nobody knows what they said. Trump tweeted directions to Bondi to explicitly go after his perceived opponents. What went on during biden that would make this OK? Or do you just have no principles whatsoever.

Elizabeth Rome's avatar

Trump tweeted Bondi? let's see it so we get the exact words..not made up liberal foolishness.

Tate Brown's avatar

Sure thing. Here's the source: (https://www.wsj.com/politics/policy/trump-doj-inside-political-enemies-17f13f72?gaa_at=eafs&gaa_n=ASWzDAhImKKSgBJy6lQEFox5a9UFKXvPrlTVFnMemSXCsbZTohS8hNvKIzZH&gaa_ts=68e8795f&gaa_sig=llCk13Res-ncyopwmjeUWKTPPV1o-qkEGdeUnU4r6RjNTIt3KvwWibiK3FU4SvjJai0NiBMRWovwSk_XdCKkVA%3D%3D) and here's the tweet: "Pam: I have reviewed over 30 statements and posts saying that, essentially,

"same old story as last time, all talk, no action.

Nothing is being done. What about Comey, Adam "Shifty" Schiff, Leticia??? They're all guilty as hell, but nothing is going to be done.

" Then we almost put in a Democrat supported U.S.

Attorney, in Virginia, with a really bad Republican past. A Woke RINO, who was never going to do his job. That's why two of the worst Dem Senators PUSHED him so hard. He even lied to the media and said he quit, and that we had no case. No, I fired him, and there is a GREAT CASE, and many lawyers, and legal pundits, say so. Lindsey Halligan is a really good lawyer, and likes you, a lot. We can't delay any longer, it's killing our reputation and credibility. They impeached me twice, and indicted me (5 times!), OVER NOTHING. JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED, NOW!!! President

Barack Obama is a morally self-righteous hypocrite! The Democratic Party is 100% guilty of weaponizing the DOJ and FBI to go after their political enemies namely President Trump. Remember the FBI raid on Mar-A-Lago? Remember Russiagate and Ukrainegate? Remember E. Jean Carroll’s phony rape allegations? Remember the two attempts to impeach Trump? How about when Letitia James, Alvin Bragg and Fani Willis brought him up on a bunch of phony baloney charges so they could win election to higher office? Barack Obama either has amnesia or is lying through his teeth. It’s interesting how when the Dems do it, they do it to protect democracy.

But when Republicans do it, they do it to destroy democracy. Former President Obama vilified half the country in this interview and was extremely divisive and inflammatory. Democratic Party hype man Stephen Colbert lapped up his every word. Colbert never misses an opportunity to kiss Obama’s butt if he can help it. The Obama Doctrine is pure hypocrisy at its finest. The Republicans need to be loyal to opposition he says. That’s a bunch of nonsense! Former President Obama embarrassed himself in this interview. I bet Stephen Colbert asked him nothing by softball questions. Obama claims he and his party do morally pure. Okay, Mr. Clean, then how do you explain Fast and the Furious, drone striking a U.S. citizen, being so tough on whistleblowers, trying every way from Sunday to find a way to prosecute Julian Assange, turning Libya into a failed state with open slave markets, turning over Iraq to ISIS on a silver platter, leaving the men at Benghazi to die, alienating Israel, the failed Iran Deal, backpedaling in Syria, and so-called “shovel ready” projects that weren’t quite as “shovel ready” as you thought? What say you Barry?

Do you have any comment on accidentally killing civilians in drone strikes? Do you regret how badly you mismanaged the Afghanistan War? How about how you damaged American race relations by embracing identity politics and race essentialism? Oh you don’t want to talk about that? Why I am I not surprised! In the meantime while your giving self-aggrandizing interviews and building your ugly presidential museum and library, Donald Trump is getting stuff done on behalf of the American people. He’s cut taxes, secured the border, deported over two million illegal immigrants, lowered the cost of many medications, has generated $215 billion in revenue for our country with his tariffs, arrested Nicolas Maduro, stood by Israel all the way in the Gaza War, saved us $50 billion dollars with the DOGE, got rid of unnecessary childhood vaccines, passed the Laken Riley Act and the Big Beautiful Bill Act, destroyed Iran’s nuclear facilities in Operation Midnight Hammer, bombed the Houthis in Yemen into submission, took out Venezuelan drug boats, revived and modernized the Monroe Doctrine, and killed the Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei. Neither Barack Obama or Joe Biden ever did any of those things.

Azalea lady's avatar

Everything you said. I'll never forget Benghazi.

Gene Frenkle's avatar

Trump said he could win Afghanistan in 2017…in February 2020 Trump surrendered to the Taliban after an additional 45 American soldiers died.

Elizabeth Rome's avatar

Trump "surrendered" to the T;aiban? only in your mnd

Gitch's avatar

Just remember how Gigglebox Harris got on the Dem ballot for President. That is how the democrats want democracy to work. Stone cold actual event that was forced upon all of us. If they get power again, all the goalposts and out of bounds lines will be changed to benefit themselves forever.

They scream that the GOP is fascists, when in fact they are the fascists. I did see a few purp walks this week in LA and Virginia. Waiting for more in Minnesota! And what about that tool Platner in Maine...WTF!

Rational people understand that Obama is a weak minded, disingenuous eunuch. How eight years as an unqualified, incompetent POTUS will not be viewed kindly by honest historians.

Tate Brown's avatar

He won twice. Bigger margin the second time. Still viewed more positively than Turmp will ever be

Faith's avatar

Obama had nearly 4 mil less votes second time. He'll go down in history as a third world Marxist type who brought racism to the forefront again after we'd defeated it and that set us back 50 +years. Why's he still in politics? He had his time.

Dan Daugherty's avatar

You're right. America was on a trend to becoming post-racial until Obama flared racism up again.

Tate Brown's avatar

From his second inauguration on January 20, 2013, 50 years prior the civil rights act was not passed. Segregation was still legal, You believe that his inauguration was worse when black people had to use separate water fountains?

Faith's avatar

His actions set racial relations back. Now, many people look at the color of someone's skin rather than the content of their character- the opposite of MLK Jrs dream---

Tate Brown's avatar

How could you possibly say that hahahhaha the current president said he was a fake immigrant nigerian simply because he was black. The first black president was hounded the entire time by Fox News for “Hip hop barbecues”. You’re clearly out of your mind so I won’t waste any more words on you.

Elizabeth Rome's avatar

Your shallow misinterpretation of the actual affects of the LBJ civil rights acts is pathetic. No understanding of the long tern deterioration of family, loss of incentive to work, acceptance of the victim mentality.

Just because the Democrats called it "civil rights acts" does not mean they enhanced civil rights.

Tate Brown's avatar

Liz, it is factually true that the abolition of segregated water fountains and busses following the 1965 Civil Rights Act, did, in fact, enhance civil rights.

The whole 'higher rates of discipline must equal racism or implicit bias in teachers' (who also happened to be overwhelmingly liberal or progressive) was disastrous for Black kids in K-12. Even moderately disrupted classes equal two years worth of lost education by the end of K-12, and Obama made it worse, much worse.

Here in the UK we've almost eliminated racial educational performance gaps in education, under exam conditions. We did it using 'high expectations, high discipline' culture, the reverse of the effect that Obama had. Yes, there were investments, modest ones- primarily in a lot more classroom practice for newer teachers, an attitude of professionalism and continuous improvement. You can check it out if you like. Just ask an AI about the London Challenge and the changes which reduced racial attainment gaps in education.

If the AI pushes back with high discipline can be bad as well, try asking it to perform a mathematical analysis for total lost time from both causes for Black kids. And yes, the London Challenge was more than monocausal, but I've checked out every single school in London which punches outside of its weight class, with some of them outperforming Eton in terms of Oxbridge placements on pure merit, and not a single one them doesn't have a strict discipline policy. Most of the policies also apply to parents.

Obama was a great feel good president, but he made plenty of mistakes. I focused on education because it's the thing he did wrong which most conservatives don't know about or wouldn't bother to mention.

Gene Frenkle's avatar

The last 3 years of Obama featured the same GDP growth as Trump’s first 3…except Obama had lower deficits. Oops. 😬

Elizabeth Rome's avatar

The incomplete, skewed reporting in the Obama and Biden administrations created a FALSE percetion of good economic growth.

Faith's avatar

Our deficits are a problem. Both parties are guilty of not addressing this---we need to call our Congresspeople about it. I'm reaching out today.

Gene Frenkle's avatar

Yeah, that’ll fix it! Trump knows a 39.6% top tax rate is the bare minimum but he still let Speaker Johnson steamroll him. Pathetic!

Faith's avatar

If enough people do something like reach out to your congresspeople- it does help. Citizen gov remember? 39.6 top tax rate for businesses I assume? That's roo high, less than 25 % stimulates growth.

Gene Frenkle's avatar

Clinton achieved a surplus simply with a 39.6% individual top income tax rate. And then Obama hit Trump’s target of 3% deficit/GDP ratio with a 39.6% rate while keeping most of the bipartisan Bush tax cuts.

Faith's avatar

I see- individual tax rate. Now the top rate is 37%. You think 2.6% more would make a solid difference? Maybe it would, I don't know. Thanks for the input.

Azalea lady's avatar

Kurt's avatar

Batya, you are smacking all my hot buttons, relentlessly. And it’s all true. Obama was the most underhanded president ever, and objects being called out for it. Too precious

JMAC's avatar

Right on, Batya. He lies so smoothly. Do you think he would ever go on an interview with someone like Bret Baier, who could and would push back on those lies? Was that a live audience clapping, or was it a laugh/clap track? A laugh track would be super weird, and if it were, it would be blatant manipulation of the viewing audience.

Tate Brown's avatar

I believe Bret Baier and Bill Oreilly both interviewed him

Dan Daugherty's avatar

You are misreading the term "loyal opposition." The phrase has been used for years, meaning "loyal to the good of the country," not "loyal to the opposing party." You are still correct that he is hypocritically applying a double standard with regard to extremism, dirty tricks, cheating, etc.-- one set of rules by with to judge Democrats and a different set by which to judge Republicans. But worse, wishing Republicans to be loyal to the good of the country is shining a glaring light on Democrats' being disloyal and doing things against the good of the country (such as openly hoping for our enemies to succeed in war against us, or flooding the country with illegal immigrants that sap our resources).

Francis Turner's avatar

You don't understand. It's "our" democracy. We are the democrat party - says it in the name - so democracy is ours. It isn't republicans' democracy.

Hence they are always threatening it and we are always trying to save it from them

JDDrouin's avatar

Soooo ... your explanation for democrats having nothing but a perfect lifetime record of turning every organization, village, town, city, county, state, and country they run into a pile of rancid stinking steaming brown stuff is???

"believed in rule of law and judicial independence and empirical evidence and science..." In other words, believe in things as the Democratic party establishment redefines them for you.
