"far from a dealbreaker, his Reddit posts, his nasty tattoo, his habit of throwing around his ex-girlfriend and cheating on his wife made the mythology around him even more compelling to progressives. To the college-educated elites leading progressive politics, these were signifiers of a traditional masculinity, their ticket back to the working class". THIS just goes to show how out of touch these elitist Dems are with real men. Do they really think most men act like that? That "tradtional masculinity" is infidelity, abuse of women, and tatoos? Nice to see what they truly think of us

Yes it's insulting to men

“If there’s a lesson here, it might be about the importance of listening hard to the people telling you what you don’t want to hear. Many Democrats, disgusted by their party’s failure to contain Donald Trump, want representatives as furious as they are, and they no longer trust their leaders to tell them who is electable. That opens space up for outsider candidates who wouldn’t have had a chance a few years ago. It also makes it easier for unfit characters to escape proper vetting.”

No, the lesson here is that traditional media are utterly compromised. The NYT is once again exposed as corporate PR for their preferred political parties, yet there are still people naive enough to take them at their word.

The Democrats are surprised about the consequences of their values. Their ideologies have created a fog hiding reality. They have denied reality - and have lived in a fantasy of their own evil dreams - and now their candidates have revealed the consequences of their “reality.”

Jodi Kantor is a grifter. If the same scenario was about a right wing candidate she would be all over that. The problem here is I hope the working class gets out and votes. They are tired of all the crap, many are giving up and may stay home on election day, and want prices of goods/ services lower. BUT, if they stay home the wacky socialist elites and Islamic crazies will get a majority. It could be all over for us ( until we win the revolution). VOTE!!

The antisemitism was a big plus for Democrats too.

"That is the real lesson here: Progressives still have no idea what working class Americans want."

Michelle Goldberg had another point worth mentioning:

"Platner offered many on the left something they’re desperate for: working-class aesthetics married to uncompromising lefty politics. Many progressives want to believe that with a sufficiently populist message and style, they can win over voters alienated from the Democratic Party, obviating the need for ideological concessions."

It's not that they don't know what working class America wants, it's that they don't want to accept it and think that they can finesse their way around the ideological issues with identity politics.

James Carville recently commented that maybe Graham Platner should be elected to the Senate so the other Senators can see for themselves how screwed up people can become after being sent to war.

I'm old enough to remember people writing that James Carville is an intelligent man ...

Don’t ever trust the progressive radical Democrats and their cheerleaders on the mainstream media !

Until the motherf***er actually resigns officially, I feel like I’m counting unhatched chickens, like an idiot. Cmon Graham, the writing is on the wall—get it over with already!

I sincerely hope he doesn't drop out of the race. I strongly believe the Dems will rally behind this man. He's a man of the people. And, I mean, don't his actions simply remind us that that's what a Democrat does? That's their nature! He can't help it. It's like Marion Barry. He got caught with drugs and was STILL re-elected! Dems do not care about character flaws.

I believe that Susan Collins' age is working against her. She's 73. Yes, she's one of, if not the most, senior Republican, chairing the Appropriations Committee, but the younger kids (X/ Millenials/ Z) are disgusted w/us Boomers.

And I think that is going to work in P-Hustle's favor.
