I disagree Ms Ungar-Sargon, the Democrats DO know what the working class would like. They would like honesty and transparency, first of all. They then want an economy that provides jobs with a meaningful direction to them (that means they don’t want make-work government jobs). And they want to keep the US Constitution in force because it guarantees their God-given rights.
Democrats do not want to give these things to the working class. This is because they are not genuinely interested in the working class. They use the rhetoric, but they’ve long ago dropped the actual substance of that rhetorical speech. It’s important to recognize that the funding behind the DSA comes largely from foreign Islamist sources. This is the horizon against which all of their political activity plays out. Their goal is not to defend the traditional blue-collar base, but to grow the influence of a socialist Islam here in the US.
