Ignorance is bliss, and ignorance will always be the domain of the young and foolish. But thankfully spring breakers hardly represent the average young American 🇺🇸

Exactly. We have to remember it's the worst cases that the media reports; as such, they tend not to be representative of the whole (or even particularly common).

Exactly. Sex and crazy sells. It's all about ratings! 😂

Thank you, Batya. Americans are experts on self-love (look at their politicians), but mostly ignorant about the world (look at their liberal experts!).

Thanks

This is on the money: let kids be kids. It's up to parents/grandparents to give them a shot at the future.

A Godless & clueless culture.

Different time now. My college spring break was also spent looking for love, wine, and weed which was pretty much a normal daily pursuit in college too. BUT we had just gone through the night of fear with the draft lottery and some of my hanging out acquaintances were survivors of the War coming back to college so we got a first hand understanding of what was happening. So, we marched on Washington and the War college. What is a little tear gas, right!

Thank you for this.

I used to be disgusted and dismayed by how unplugged from the world most college age kids were but these days I am mostly relieved when I hear it. I used to mostly trust the MSM and believe that they at least tried to convey truth. The way the NYT, NPR, CNN, and the BBC covered the Gaza war cured me of that misconception. Now I see the lies every time I turn on the TV.

You're probably right that most people don't hate the MSM enough. Maybe ignoring the news - like these kids - is better than hating.

I vote on foreign policy.

You want Americans to be stupid so that they will not protest imperialist wars.

Really, she has a show, just so everyone can be stupid? Hmmm…Those following her are probably mostly interested in history, politics, foreign and domestic policy, and economic decisions affecting most Americans. Surely you understand, she is reminding us that we are the exception—many Americans are living their lives without the regular interest in the topics she devotes her time to discussing and covering as a journalist.

Spoken like a true <4%.

You think that you are superior because of you've immersed yourself in left wing rhetoric. You're not.

But smug people like you are succeeding in pushing more and more normal voters away from the Democratic party so pleeeease - keep it up.
