Mayor Mamdani and the Liberal Media Are Terror-Washing ISIS
Everything Mamdani has said since the ISIS-inspired terror attack in New York has been designed to "All Lives Matter" an attack against Right-wing protestors and make you think they committed violence
It was the perfect set up:
Mayor Zohran Mamdani, the first Muslim mayor of New York City, beset by evil, white supremacist, anti-Muslim protestors outside Gracie Mansion, takes refuge days later in an intimate, triumphant, noble dinner inside, its hallowed dining room graced with the presence of that campus activist and warrior of free speech Mahmoud Khalil.
The tweets were already written! The white supremacy denounced! The Islamophobia much condemned!
Alas, reality intervened; how unfortunate that this neat little plot line was interrupted when two Muslim terrorists trying to massacre scores of New Yorkers threw IEDs at the anti-Mamdani protestors. The bombs didn’t go off, by the grace of God, and the men were arrested, by the bravery of the NYPD, whereupon they proudly professed their allegiance to ISIS.
Not to be deterred, Mamdani persevered in his attempt to insist that it was he—not the Right-wing protestors targeted by actual ISIS-inspired terrorists—who was the real victim of Saturday’s attack. The tweets condemning white supremacy went out as planned, with a little note added that “Violence at a protest is never acceptable” and “The attempt to use an explosive device and hurt others is not only criminal, it is reprehensible,” with zero context as to who used the explosives, giving the impression that it was the non-violent Right wing protestors who had acted violently—not the Muslim counter-protestors.
At a press conference on Monday, the Mayor again led by condemning the “Islamophobia” of the protestors. “This was a vile protest rooted in white supremacy,” he said, though it was two Muslims who almost committed mass murder. “New York City will never tolerate violence, whether from protests or counterprotests,” said Mamdani, though only one side threw bombs.
Armed with Mamdani’s brilliant strategy of using ambiguity to hide who the violent terrorists were, the liberal media took their marching orders and went to town. Article after article informed its readers that an explosive device went off “during an anti-Islam protest” or “outside Gracie Mansion” to give the impression that it was the anti-Mamdani protestors who threw the device at Mamdani because he is Muslim—instead of Muslim terrorists throwing them at the non-violent anti-Mamdani protestors.
“Saturday's attempted bomb attack outside Gracie Mansion highlighted the uniquely fraught cultural, religious and political dynamics Mamdani faces as New York City's first Muslim mayor,” we were told by Politico.
Ah! Poor Mamdani! How fraught this all must be for him, when people defending his religion are chucking bombs at those protesting him!
CNN had the worst showing in a now-deleted tweet that took things one step further and actually portrayed the terrorists as the victims of police brutality for the simple crime of making “homemade bombs.”
White supremacy strikes again!
At a Tuesday press conference, Mamdani doubled down, again All-Lives-Matter-ing the episode to hide the true perpetrators and their ideology. Asked by a reporter if given that the two men had sworn allegiance to ISIS, did the Mayor have a message to young people who might find themselves being drawn to that ideology, the Mayor was clear: “Extremism and hatred of any kind will not be tolerated in our city and that is regardless of whatever ideology motivates any person to commit an act of violence, there is no tolerance for that here.”
But . . . only one ideology resulted in an act of terrorism in New York City.
The Mayor again refused to condemn the actual violent extremism on display in New York while pretending to, in an effort to share the blame for the violence with its actual victims.
This is terror-washing, pure and simple. It’s truly heinous stuff.
But it’s also not surprising.
Remember the second act of our interrupted morality play—that lovely intimate dinner with hero of free speech Mahmoud Khalil?
The Mayor wants you to believe that the courageous Mahmoud Khalil was the victim of a civil rights abuse, imprisoned for “exercising his First Amendment rights in protesting the ongoing genocide in Palestine.”
This, too, is terror-washing. Khalil wasn’t arrested for his speech. He was detained for deportation for supporting Hamas, a terrorist organization, whose propaganda materials Khalil distributed. He lied on his green card application about having worked for UNRWA, which the Biden administration deemed a terrorist organization and defunded. He has repeatedly defended—on tape—armed resistance, a.k.a. terrorism.
Sorry, but it’s not a civil rights abuse to deport non-citizens who support terrorism!
But to Mayor Mamdani, the Terror-Washer in Chief of New York, this man is a courageous free speech warrior. (Also pictured joyously serving Khalil is Mamdani’s wife, recently revealed to have liked posts celebrating October 7.)
Last night, a friend mentioned how strange he found it that two Muslims would target a Muslim mayor's residence with bombs. I had to explain that that's not what happened. But it's proof of what a good job outlets like CNN have done obfuscating the truth. Together with Mayor Mamdani, the liberal media has worked assiduously to make it seem like Mamdani—rather than a group of anti-Mamdani non-violent protestors—was the real victim of Saturday's terrorism.
But you're also giving Khalil a pass. He promoted violence against Jewish students and faculty locking them off campus and led the Hamilton Hall debacle where they assaulted a university worker. Exactly the stuff Mamdani blabbed was anathema.
It's all so infuriating. NYers better wake the hell up. I already lived through 9/11, which shocked us to our core. Now, 25 years later, they're gearing up to attack us again, only they're doing it right out in the open. They literally have "death to America" marches every week, target Jews on the street, "like" the mass murder/rape of Jews, and share Hamas propaganda, all while using the First Amendment as a shield. Instead of calling it out, our TikTok mayor plays victim, gives them safe haven, and in some cases, participates! In the meantime, the media and leftists cheerlead him along. This is not going to end well.
