Ignore the 'Influencers.' 12 Polls Show Massive, Ongoing Republican Support for Trump's Operation Epic Fury in Iran
An updated tally of what the polling shows. Contrary to the wish-casting of the Isolationist Right, MAGA isn't shrinking; it's growing—and it's got President Trump's back.
One of the things I’ve been tracking here and on my show on NewsNation is the polling on Operation Epic Fury, President Trump’s war on Iran’s nuclear and ballistic capabilities to prevent our grandchildren from having to face off against a nuclear-armed Islamic Regime. The war doesn’t have majority support, of course; the Democrats are too addled by TDS. Most will admit that the goals of the war are of course noble, it’s just that they shouldn’t be carried out now (why not? Nobody knows!).
More interesting is whether the President’s base agrees with the aims of the war and supports him in carrying them out, especially because a number of former Right-wing influencers keep insisting that the war represents a betrayal of President Trump’s campaign promises.
Well, the polls—many of them—suggest his base doesn’t agree. As I’ve pointed out repeatedly, there is no MAGA split on the war in Iran, or if there is, it’s the split between 90% of the base and the influencers who pretend to influence them.
Here’s an updated tally of all the polls I could find on how Trump voters feel about the war in Iran.
February 28-March 1: A CNN poll conducted by SSRS Research of 1,004 American adults found that 77% of Republicans supported the war. CNN also found that “MAGA Republicans are 30 points more likely than non-MAGA Republicans to say they strongly approve of the decision to take military action.”
March 1: A Washington Post poll of 1,003 American adults found 81% of Republicans support the war in Iran.
February 28-March 2: A Fox News survey found that 84% of Republicans support the President’s strike on Iran.
March 2-3: A CBS Poll of 1,399 American adults found that 85% of Republicans approve of the U.S. taking military action in Iran.
February 27-March 3: An NBC poll of 1,000 American adults asked if the U.S. should have taken military action against Iran. 90% of MAGA voters said yes. Just 5% said no. Of MAGA and non-MAGA Republicans combined, 77% supported the war.
March 5-9: A YouGov/Economist poll of 1,563 U.S. adult citizens found 80% approval for the way the President is “handling the situation in Iran” among conservatives, which went up to 91% among MAGA voters. Just 6% disapproved.
March 13-16: An Economist/YouGov poll of 1,595 U.S. adult citizens found the numbers holding pretty steady: 78% of conservatives approved of the way the President is “handling the situation in Iran” as well as 87% of MAGA. Again, just 6% disapproved.
March 16: A Rassmussen National Survey of 1,098 U.S. likely voters found that 81% of Republican voters say it’s been successful.
March 17: CNN reports that 89% of MAGA approves of the President’s military action in Iran. Just 9% disapprove.
March 18: CNN reports that Trump has a 100% approval rating among MAGA Republicans, dispelling the myth that the MAGA coalition is shrinking: MAGA went from 28% of Americans in 2024 to 30% of Americans now.
March 17-18: A J.L. Partners poll of 1,018 likely voters asked Republicans if they agree with Trump or podcasters like Tucker Carlson on foreign policy views. Trump got 84% support. Carlson got 6%.
March 17-20: A CBS News Poll by YouGov of 3,335 American adults found that 92% of MAGA Republicans and 84% of all Republicans approve of the U.S. taking military action against Iran.
This piece has been updated to add a new poll.

I'm in the shelter along with my neighbors. We're fine thanks. You can thank us and President Trump later.
These polls confirm what all us normal people out here know and believe! The podcasters seem to be doing exactly what the mainstream has done for decades, and it’s so discouraging. Many of us hoped we’d found people who- while imperfect- at least seemed like they were earnestly trying to apply some sort of standard rather than spin to their reporting. Some did in the beginning, but took a sudden and obvious turn. And now, tons of us are left scratching our heads in confusion and disappointment. Thank you for staying true to facts and principles, Batya!
