Are We Going to War With Iran? What Happened to Tucker Carlson? My Full Interview With Ambassador Mike Huckabee
We discussed the discrepancy between the Israelis and the Trump administration on Iran, Tucker Carlson's bizarre yarn about his persecution in Israel, and VP JD Vance's relationship with Carlson
One of President Trump’s most significant campaign promises was no new wars. The President is proud of his record ending conflicts rather than starting them. “There’s nothing more important than peace,” the President said this week at his first Board of Peace meeting.
At the same time, the dictatorial Islamic Regime of Iran has been getting increasingly belligerent, refusing to commit to ending its nuclear program and mowing down thousands of innocent souls protesting for their freedom in the streets.
The pressure has ramped up on the President to intervene militarily, and he has deployed 13 warships to the region. It’s the largest U.S. buildup in the region since the 2003 invasion of Iraq, per Bloomberg.
The Israelis seem to be very ostentatiously preparing for war. Israeli emergency services and the Home Front Command have been instructed to prepare for war. But Iran’s foreign minister says they are preparing a draft of a peace deal for the administration to consider.
The messaging from the Trump administration has remained ambiguous. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth told the Daily Signal, “We would never reveal what we may or may not do. We have enormous capabilities, unlike anyone else in the world, and I think the big difference between this Department and others is that we unlock and unleash our war fighters to get the job done should they have to. But our hope is that we never have to use that. The president is a negotiator looking for a deal. It would be wise for Iran to see that deal.”
The President expressed a similar sentiment on Thursday at the Board of Peace summit: “Now is the time for Iran to join us on a path that will complete what we’re doing. If they join us, that’ll be great. If they don’t join us, that’ll be great too — but it’ll be a very different path. They cannot continue to threaten the stability of the entire region and they must make a deal, or if that doesn’t happen, I maybe can understand. If it doesn’t happen, it doesn’t happen. But bad things will happen if it doesn’t.”
Is war with Iran imminent?
I had the pleasure of asking Ambassador Mike Huckabee on my show tonight. I asked if he agreed with me that the Israeli position was different from that of the Trump administration, and what Iran could offer Trump to prevent a military operation.
We also discussed his interview with Tucker Carlson at great length, and Carlson’s bizarre yarn about his persecution in the Tel Aviv airport that he refused to leave. I asked Ambassador Huckabee something people ask me a lot: What happened to Tucker Carlson?!
And we talked about whether he is worried about how close the Vice President is with Carlson. It’s something people bring up to me a lot, and I was curious how Ambassador Huckabee felt about it.

Loved this. Governor Huckabee is a wise and secure man who knows he has truth and integrity on his side. Tucker has made himself into an absolute baffoon. Batya, you are so gracious in the way you get to the truth and the heart of an issue.
Good interview with a variety of questions in the short time that you had with him.
